The first Middle East Symposium in Dental Medicine was held in Jerusalem in November. Focusing on dental implants in comprehensive dental treatment, this international symposium is the first step in a new academic collaboration between the Hebrew University–Hadassah School of Dental Medicine and Al-Quds University Faculty of Medicine in Jerusalem. Held under the auspices of the D. Walter Cohen Center for Dental Education, the symposium hosted leading academicians from universities in France, Turkey, and the United States, as well Jordanians, Palestinians, and Israelis, who introduced new findings, techniques, and procedures in the field of dental implants. Future plans include joint research and teaching and clinical exchange among the faculty and students of Hadassah and Al-Quds.
