Hadassah France hosted a prestigious dinner under the patronage of Minister Christian Estrosi, represented by Professor Daniel Benchimol, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University Hospital of Nice, to raise funds for pediatric hemato-oncology research at the Hadassah Medical Center.

The event brought together about 65 guests, many from the worlds of medicine, economics, science, and art. Hadassah France President Dr. Sydney Ohana welcomed the guests, who were then shown a film about the Hadassah Medical Center’s Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Department. Hadassah International President Trisha S. Margulies shared some additional information about the work at our hospitals, including the exciting new Sarah Wetsman Davidson Tower of Healing, and invited everyone to the upcoming Hadassah International Conference in Israel this March.

Then the evening’s musical entertainment began with a concert in the Rotonde of the beautiful French Riviera Grand Hôtel du Cap at St. Jean Cap Ferrat. Guest Singer was the American soprano, Wilhelmenia Fernandes, accompanied by the pianist Raimondo Campisi, who performed dozens of world hits from famous musicals such asWest Side Story and Porgy and Bess. Ms. Fernandes is best known for her role in the cult movie, Diva.

The guests, who came from various cities on the Riviera, as well as Paris and Madrid, then proceeded to the “Club Dauphin,” situated in the magnificent gardens of the Grand Hôtel, where they were treated to a gastronomic feast by the new Chef of the hotel, Didier Anies, who had received the title of “Best Worker of France” in 2000. The evening ended with an auction of a sculpture and jewels by Georges Braque. A night to be remembered!
