A delegation of leaders of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, headed by their President, Dr. Carroll A. Baltimore Sr., recently visited Hadassah Hospital-Mt. Scopus, where Director Dr. Osnat Levtzion-Korach described the Israeli healthcare system and how the Hadassah example proves that “Arab-Jewish coexistence can work.” Emphasizing civil rights and social justice, the Progressive National Baptist Convention is a convention of African-American Baptists with member congregations throughout the United States, the Caribbean, Europe and Africa. Their visit was sponsored by the American Israel Educational Foundation, the charitable organization affiliated with AIPAC, and arranged by Hadassah’s Influentials to Israel Program.
