The Board of Trustees of Hadassah International Israel, headed by Chairperson Dalia Itzik and President Sally Oren, plus Hadassah Medical Organization administrations and senior physicians gathered on February 9 in Tel Aviv at the Peres Center for Peace.

After greetings from the chairperson of the HMO Board Erez Meltzer, former President of Israel Shimon Peres was interviewed on health, economics and foreign policy by Itzik and Professor Zeev Rotstein, Director General of HMO.

Peres emphasized the importance and distinctiveness of HMO, and the contribution of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America and supporters around the world in creating such an outstanding medical center. Professor Rotstein spoke of his vision for renewing the hospital, and Professor Eyal Mishani, the head of research and development at HMO, presented the challenges and great achievements of Hadassah in R and D.
