On Israel’s “Mother’s Day” (now renamed “Family Day”), which commemorates the life of Hadassah founder Henrietta Szold each year on the date of her death, Rhoda Smolow, National President of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc., visited the school for hospitalized children at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem. As she sat at their table, she told them about Henrietta and her love for children.

Rhoda’s words were translated into both Hebrew and Arabic, the school’s chief languages of instruction.
