In June 2023, I got to participate in the Young Hadassah Leadership program. This initiative is promoted by Hadassah International and brings together young leaders from diverse backgrounds and countries with a strong focus on business acumen to boost fundraising programs with a long-term accountability commitment.
Participants from 10 different countries created 6 fundraising programs that aim to strengthen Hadassah International in the future, not only in monetary terms but also by involving young people and future generations in its projects. This unique group of young Jewish leaders will make history in the way fundraising is structured to meet the needs of the next generation’s world view.
The program fosters entrepreneurship and innovation, empowering participants to address critical Hadassah´s Institutional needs. By working on these initiatives, participants impact Israel’s society and economy while influencing local and global communities.
This experience definitely connected me again with Israel. I enjoyed seeing Hadassah’s leadership, medical programs, and the international network. It is a great example of a long-term vision institution, and I got to learn about technology, first aid procedures, leadership and philanthropy. We experienced different masterclasses, social activities, and workshops with concrete outputs.
Hadassah is an “ideal Israel” microcosm in the sense that it brings together Jews from all over the world to work towards the same objectives: It brings together Israelis and the diaspora, and also promotes the mingling of the Arab and Jewish population as they work side by side in the medical field. It is also a place where orthodox and non-orthodox Jews sit together and work together. Hadassah has achieved a united and tolerant Jewish world.
