Hadassah International proudly announces the appointment of Joyce Rabin as the Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America’s (HWZOA) National Chair of Hadassah International, succeeding Sherry Altura who has served in this role for the past 4½ years.
Joyce previously served on the Hadassah International Board of Directors during her term as Coordinator of Development for HWZOA. An experienced fundraiser, she has led fundraising workshops for many of our Hadassah International units, working with its leaders to help develop successful strategies to support their outreach to prospective donors.
During these past critical years, Joyce has represented Hadassah on the Hadassah Medical Organization’s (HMO) Board of Directors and has been instrumental in communicating to our members, leaders and donors the progress of the recovery program to bring HMO to financial stability. Joyce is especially proud to have developed the fundraising campaign to build the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower as its first Campaign Coordinator.
Please join us in welcoming Joyce to her new position. She will formally be elected to the Hadassah International Board of Directors in the spring as its Vice-President.
We are deeply thankful to Sherry Altura for her many years of service to Hadassah International; her passion and creativity, dedication, and leadership as President and Vice-President laid the foundations for a newer, fresher and more dynamic organization. She was responsible for electing a truly international team and broke the gender paradigms. Sherry’s leadership as Vice-President is most appreciated.
Sincerely,
Moishe Sandler, President, Hadassah International Melissa Kaplan, Director Hadassah International
