Although he severely severed the palm of his hand, Sa’ad El-Kikh, an artist from the village of Tsurif near Hebron, is able to draw and paint once again thanks to a special tool affixed to his hand by Hadassah University Medical Center physical therapists.

Following his accident, Mr. El-Kikh was operated on by Dr. Carole Pidhorz of Hadassah’s Center for Hand and Microvascular Surgery. Four months later, he began extensive rehabilitation therapy at Hadassah with the hope that he could regain full functioning of his hand. In the meantime, he is painting with the tool affixed to his hand by Hadassah’s therapists.
