From June 25 to August 11, Inbal Jerusalem Hotel Manager Rodney Sanders will be bicycling 3,300 miles across America to raise funds for pancreatic research at the Hadassah Medical Center in memory of his wife, Hadassah (Dassie), who died of pancreatic cancer late last year.
By signing up individual sponsors at $25 per mile, Mr. Sanders hopes that his arduous 48-day trek from Seattle, Washington to Washington, DC will yield $100,000 for the new Hadassah Sanders Fund for Pancreatic Cancer Research at Hadassah. Sponsors of this “Ride Across America” include Hadassah, the American Lung Association of Washington, the Inbal Jerusalem Hotel, and IGT Ltd.
