NurOwn ™, a stem cell technology of BrainStorm Cell Therapeutics, has proven effective in improving cognitive and motor function in a patient at the Hadassah Medical Center, who suffers from both Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Myasthenia Gravis (MG).

A case report on this patient appears in the online version of Muscle and Nerve. The paper, entitled “Rare Combination of Myasthenia and ALS, Responsive to MSC-NTF Stem Cell Therapy,” by Principal Investigator Prof. Dimitrios Karussis, Hadassah Neurologist and head of its Multiple Sclerosis Center, his Hadassah Colleagues, and Prof. V.A. Lennon from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, describes the rare case of a 75-year-old man who, following therapy, improved from having dysarthria (difficulty speaking) to being able to deliver a speech clearly to an audience.
