During a short ski holiday in the French Alps, Dr. Ariel Lipschuetz, an anesthesiologist at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus, sustained a severe back injury after a fall on a ski trail. Knowing full well how severe his injury was and not being able to communicate with the French medics, Dr. Lipschuetz phoned his colleague, Dr. Josh Schroeder, director of Hadassah Ein Kerem’s back unit, for assistance. After seeing the x-rays of the injury, Dr. Schroeder advised his friend to fly to Israel immediately for surgery.
Now back on his feet and mobile, Dr. Lipscheutz understands what it means to be on the receiving end of the state-of-the-art surgery techniques standard at Hadassah Ein Kerem.
