Photographer Ariel Jerozolimski spent part of a hospital shift with the outstanding staff of the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit and the COVID-19 Outbreak Unit at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem in Jerusalem. In an October 22 Times of Israel blog, he shares his experience and observations.

Visiting the COVID-19 Outbreak Unit at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem in Jerusalem, I observed doctors, nurses, and other staff. They are truly heroic—and very tired.

Jerozolimski’s beautiful photos enable us to catch the essence of the difficult daily struggle and heroic efforts of Hadassah’s doctors and nurses as they wage a battle against the odds to save the lives of those entrusted to their care.
