Israelis who are concerned that they may have contracted COVID-19 are being invited to call the Hadassah Medical Organization’s main number. The caller will be patched through to a doctor for an initial consultation.
The announcement of the initiative was made by Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem Medical Director Prof. Yoram Weiss during an interview with Israel’s Channel 11 TV. “From these calls, we’ll know pretty quickly if the caller should come to the hospital,” said Prof. Weiss. He added, “I just want to stress at this point that there’s total separation between those people being checked for the coronavirus and the patients in the clinics and in the trauma unit. Thankfully, in Israel, there’s absolutely no reason why we can’t deal with these two populations separately.”
