With the triple goal of providing emergency health education, raising awareness about Hadassah International, and generating funds for the pediatric wing of Hadassah Hospital-Mount Scopus, Hadassah Mexico launched its first First Aid Course, with the intention of offering new classes each month. The course was modeled after the successful First Aid seminar created by Hadassah Panama.

A series of advertisements in the media, flyers, posters in synagogues and restaurants, and creative e-mail blasts publicized the two-session course, jointly presented by a physician and a nurse. Attendees were able to purchase First Aid Kits—vanity cases equipped with medicines and items needed to deal with a health emergency—as well as a First Aid guide, designed by the Hadassah Mexico event team. A diploma was given to each participant at the conclusion of the course.
