First an Israeli couple living in New Zealand who have two children suffering from cystic fibrosis were helped by the New Zealand branch of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ). Then, through ICEJ, they were led to seek valuable advice from Hadassah Medical Center’s Prof. Eitan Kerem . An expert in pediatric respiratory diseases, Prof. Kerem is also Head of Hadassah’s Department of Pediatrics at Mount Scopus and the Cystic Fibrosis Center.
Eager to show their appreciation to Hadassah, the parents consulted with ICEJ-New Zealand President Rachel Millward, and they decided to host a fundraising concert to benefit cystic fibrosis research at Hadassah.
That evening, Hadassah New Zealand President Valda Knight enlightened the 200 attendees about the work of Hadassah’s Center for Children with Chronic Diseases—and the event raised $3,200 dollars for research.Mrs. Knight also took the opportunity to present a certificate of appreciation to Mrs. Milllward and her husband, Bill.
