Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his wife Akie recently visited Israel as part of a regional tour, marking the first visit by a Japanese premier to Israel since 2006.

Mrs. Akie Abe took the time out from her duties to visit the Hadassah Medical Center. She was accompanied by Mrs. Kaori Matsutomi, the wife of the Japanese ambassador to Israel, as she visited patients in the Hadassah Pediatric wards.
