Over the course of the past few weeks, 13 Mount Scopus Memorial College students from Melbourne Australia, have spent time volunteering with sick children at the Hadassah Mt Scopus Hospital in Jerusalem. In Israel as part of the school’s 9 week Ulpan program and based in Jerusalem, the students prepared games, activities, plays and magic shows for the young Jewish and Arab patients at the hospital.
“Seeing the look on their faces when we would arrive at the hospital and having the chance to put a smile on their faces, even for a little while, made this experience truly worthwhile”, said one participant.
