Hadassah New Zealand has received a gift of $250,000 for the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Tower from Guardian Trust, on behalf of the Lady Marion Davis Memorial (Hospitals) Foundation, naming the ground-floor Information Desk and Area for philanthropist, Lady Davis. During their lifetimes, Lady Davis and her husband, Sir Ernest Davis, were generous contributors to medical care and education, including the building and ongoing support of the renowned Marion Davis Memorial Medical Library.

Jennifer Leiman, President of Hadassah New Zealand, relates that the grant was the largest single donation ever received by the New Zealand unit. “By sponsoring the Information Area,” Mrs. Leiman notes, “the Lady Marion Davis Memorial (Hospitals) Foundation has supported the very hub of the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Tower and demonstrated that here in New Zealand we have faith in the huge contribution Hadassah makes in treating the sick as well as in its fine educational institutions and medical research facilities.”
