M. Charles Bakst, a Herald alum and veteran political columnist at the Providence Journal, had the pleasure of being invited to the Chagall Windows inauguration in 1962 (and, before that, the Aug. 3, 1960, dedication of the Hadassah Medical Center in the Ein Kerem area of southwest Jerusalem, where David Ben-Gurion and Golda Meir were present as well, amongst other celebrities).
