Celebrating his survival of a severe stroke exactly one year ago thanks to the neurosurgery team of Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem, Shaiki Lacks and his wife, Tzipi, stopped by to express their appreciation to Prof. Jose Cohen, nurse Talia Gozla, and the medical specialists that brought him from the Magen David Adom ambulance to the Neurosurgical Catheterization Laboratory at Hadassah.
Lacks had been getting ready for military reserve duty when the stroke hit him. “Every minute counts,” emphasized Prof. Cohen, who praised the speedy work of the team that helped bring about the successful brain catheterization. Everyone, he explained, reduced to a minimum the time between Lack’s stroke, his arrival at Hadassah, and his life-saving treatment in the catheterization lab.
