“Saving a life is like saving a world.”

In an emergency, every second matters. The first few moments before professional help arrives can shape the outcome of a crisis, whether it’s a sudden injury, a fall, choking, bleeding, burns, or another urgent situation.

Yet many people hesitate, not because they do not care, but because they do not know what to do.

At Young Hadassah Without Borders, we believe that essential first-aid knowledge should be clear, accessible, and available to everyone. For this reason, we have developed a series of Basic Life Support Wallet Cards, a practical, easy-to-use guide designed to support people in the initial response to different emergency situations.

These cards are not intended to replace medical professionals, emergency services, or formal first-aid training. Rather, they serve as a reliable first point of reference: a simple tool that can help someone stay calm, identify what is happening, take the right first steps, and know when to seek urgent help.

The initiative was created with one central purpose: to place life-saving information in more hands. By making these cards available both physically and digitally, we aim to ensure that people can carry them in their wallet, save them on their phone, share them with family members, or distribute them within schools, communities, places of worship, workplaces, and social networks.

Emergencies are unpredictable, but preparation is a choice. The more people who have access to clear and practical information, the stronger and safer our communities become.

We invite you to access the material through the link, save it, share it, and help us expand this initiative. By spreading first-aid awareness, you may be giving someone the chance to act when it matters most.

Because sometimes, one informed person at the right moment can save a life. And saving a life is like saving a world.
