Dani Bassan, lead singer of the iconic Israeli band T-Slam, together with music therapist Eyal Atzmon, visited the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus to sing for the tiny premature babies and for the dedicated staff who care for them day and night.

The NICU, which was relocated to the underground protected complex at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus due to Operation “Roaring Lion,” is currently caring for 27 premature infants, some of whom require intensive neonatal care.

Talia Wizner, Head Nurse of the NICU, explains that even in times of emergency, care for the premature babies continues with the same sensitivity, professionalism, and dedication that characterize the team during routine times.

“Even in our new and temporary location, our team is working around the clock to ensure that every baby receives the highest quality care while maintaining complete safety.

The protected unit received a special embrace through the music brought by Dani Bassan and Eyal Atzmon, delivered with great tenderness and sensitivity.

The parents, the staff, and of course our premature babies were surrounded by these beautiful moments and soothing sounds that help maintain the calm and stable atmosphere we strive to preserve here.”
