Hadassah Medical organization, which operates underground complexes in parking lots and hospital complexes on Mount Scopus and Ein Kerem, continues to treat hundreds of hospitalized patients who receive comprehensive medical care in protected underground areas.

The inpatient wards, neonatal intensive care units, and operating rooms function continuously, according to professional priorities and severity of the patients’ conditions.

Due to the increase in the number of hospitalized patients and the growing need for protected hospitalization beds, Hadassah Ein Kerem established an additional underground complex within a few days, offering over 40 hospitalization beds in the fortified parking lot.

HMO Director-General, Prof. Yoram Weiss emphasizes that Hadassah will continue to provide quality medical care to all patients, even in these difficult times. “Our hospitals in Mount Scopus and Ein Kerem are expanding their protected underground complexes so that we can admit and treat as many patients as possible with minimal risk. Teams from all disciplines, especially operational staff, create safe and professional care areas out of nothing, ensuring treatment for patients across the various departments.”

“I sincerely hope that this challenging period will leave us all stronger, with the knowledge that we have given our very best to our patients, while maintaining their safety and that of the staff.”

A meaningful and special moment at the new underground complex at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem:

Majd, 48, a father of four, is the security guard on behalf of the Yamit company and ensures the safety of patients. He discovered that one of the patients was restless and anxious because her family members had not yet arrived. He approached her and, with genuine warmth, sat down to draw with her until she calmed down.
