Dear Friends and Supporters,
This letter is being written between “red alerts,” as sirens warn of incoming missile fire from Iran during Operation Roaring Lion. Despite the tremendous challenges, we remain resilient.
Within a record six hours, both Hadassah hospitals moved essential departments into fortified underground facilities. In the first days of war, we treated more than two dozen of the injured from direct missile attacks on Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem. Within a week we opened a new protected area with 40 beds on the Ein Kerem campus, greatly increasing our preparedness for potential mass casualty events.
Even in times of crisis, Hadassah continues to lead and to build, remaining at the forefront of Israel’s healing and recovery. We are rehabilitating wounded soldiers at the Gandel Rehabilitation Center, accompanying them on the long and courageous journey of physical recovery while also providing comprehensive mental health care. We are profoundly proud of our dental professionals whose sensitive and sacred work was critical in identifying the last bodies of our hostages.
On the global stage, Hadassah has demonstrated leadership with outstanding results in the Nature Index, one of the world’s most respected research rankings. Hadassah was named #1 among Israeli hospitals and is the only Israeli hospital listed among the top 200 hospitals worldwide.
Your partnership and steadfast support make all of this, and much more, possible. Wishing you and your family a meaningful, hopeful, and peaceful Passover,
Mrs. Dalia Itzik Prof. Yoram Weiss
