Dear Friends,
As we welcome Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, we reflect with gratitude on an extraordinary year at Hadassah and on the many people whose dedication made these achievements possible.
This year, a landmark national planning decision cleared the way for the expansion of the Hadassah Ein Kerem campus, increasing capacity from approximately 1,000 beds to 2,400 beds and helping ensure that Hadassah can meet the healthcare needs of future generations. At the same time, Hadassah Cyprus officially opened its doors, extending Hadassah’s name, expertise, and standard of excellence beyond Israel’s borders.
Another significant milestone, achieved through the dedicated efforts of Hadassah’s management and the Chairperson of the Board, was securing a new and more sustainable funding framework for Hadassah and Israel’s independent hospitals. This important step strengthens our financial foundation and helps ensure that we can continue investing in our people, our infrastructure, and the medicine of tomorrow.
Research at Hadassah continues to flourish. In 2026, our researchers earned 13 Israel Science Foundation (ISF) grants and 6 highly competitive U.S.-Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF) grants, representing more than one-third of all grants awarded to Israeli hospitals in both categories.
Innovation at Hadassah is transforming patient care. This year, our proton therapy research program became Israel’s only such program, with more than 80 patients already treated. Our homegrown CAR-T platform is showing encouraging results and expanding into new fields, while our Organoid Center is advancing personalized medicine through patient-derived tissue models that help researchers develop and test new treatments.
Finally, this summer, a prominent social media creator chose to produce an inspiring video showcasing Hadassah’s spirit of coexistence, compassion, and shared humanity. We invite you to watch it here.
Thank you for your partnership, trust, and friendship. Together, we are building a stronger future for healthcare in Israel and beyond.
Wishing you and your loved ones a healthy, peaceful, and sweet New Year,
